Four years after the festival of Rubí Ibarra García, the 19-year-old recalled how difficult it was to become the most famous quinceañera in Mexico, after the invitation to his party that XV years went viral.
The young student would originate from La Joya, San Luis Potosí, who in December 2016 celebrated her 15th birthday, today she is closing cycles.
After a Facebook event was created with more than 1.3 million people confirmed to attend, Rubí began to face what had become a public event, as everyone wanted to attend the party of the year.
In a conversation that potosina had with the magazine TV and Notes She declared that her party became a martyrdom for her, as she went from being a teenager excited by her celebration to suffering ridicule and comments from acquaintances and strangers.
All this situation caused him not to enjoy his party and try to get everything back to normal. However, she did not succeed, it was an event that overwhelmed her so she needed psychological help to overcome what had happened.
“...I went to the psychologist several times because everything that that experience left me was terrible, I was literally in shock; however, I can say that after the consultations with the psychologist I did not feel that I had improved, I did not feel that support ”, declared the young woman.
At the time, her friends and relatives guided her by telling her not to pay attention to what was said about her, despite the fact that it represented suffering. Rubí is aware that no one understood her that is why she relied on therapy even if it did not work for her.
As a result of this, he assured that what really helped him turn the page was the support of his family, since it is they who have strengthened his self-esteem, emotions and mentality.
“At first I thought,” Going to the psychologist will probably help me feel better. “ They perfectly say that psychologists are not going to cure you, but they are supportive, right? I didn’t feel that way; I felt the same or even worse. They gave me medicines that, to be honest, I didn’t feel any improvement because they looked at me the same, down, “he confessed.
